Jah Prayzah-bjrworld.wordpress.com

JahPrayzah and Macheso are set to perform in Bulawayo on 2nd of May 2015 at Bulawayo Amphitheatre.

For all the Sungura music lovers out there Amphitheatre is a place to be on the 2nd of May as Macheso and his Ochestra Mberikwazvo band will be performing there live. Even if the band suffered an unfortunate incident of losing some of its finest members who left to form another band , the Ochestra Mberikwazvo is still intact and continues to deliver although some may argue it is not the same as before. The “Zora bata” hit maker continues however to entertain the crowds and hopefully this May he will serenade all the sungura lovers in city of Kings and queens. Macheso is well  known for his social conscious and thought provoking hit songs such as 'Madawu' 'Shedia' 'Charakupa' among others. His music essentially speaks and educates the society.

On the other hand Jah Prayzah whose real name is Mukuzdei Mukombe continues to wow the crowds with every performance he makes and he has got a National Merit Award to show for that. Jah Praisah and his  band members always manage to stage  a powerful performance with their incredible dance moves that live the crowds asking for more.Jah prayzah is well known for some hit songs such as 'Machembere' 'Mwanaskana' 'Tsviriyo' 'Sungano Yerudo' and 'Kumbura Mhute' among others.

Macheso has appeared in Jah prayzah's music video 'Tsviriyo' and the video left a lasting impression on many audience and as such on the 2nd of May the people of Bulawayo expect nothing less from them when they perform.I guess the two make more or less a good team and

Big nuz to seranade Bulawayo on independence day eve

For all the “house music” lovers out there this 17 April Amphitheatre is the place to be as “BIG NUZ” is bracing Bulawayo with its presents. Big nuz is a prominent South African music group that specialises in the popular house music genre which has taken SA by storm over the years.

The group has won numerous awards in the South African music awards for their outstanding music and music videos. They are also identified with some bet collaborations ever with groups such as “Uhuru” with one of their songs tittled “kwa jaiva u-chief” having been a hit from last year. Uhuru its self has been on the spotlight as well with an outstanding collaboration with artists such as David Adeleji Adeleke aka Davido.
Some of Big nuz’s best hits include “Umlilo” released in 2010 and "Inazo" “Ntombenhle” among others. Here in Zimbabwe the group is popular here in Bulawayo especially among the youths and many occasions they have been here the crowds have never failed to show up and they in turn have never failed to deliver and entertain.

I guess Big nuz will come and help us welcome our independence day celebration in style as on the 18th of April Zimbabwe celebrates 35years of independence. It will be a good thing to celebrate in style the lives of those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Zimbabwe and every Zimbabwean out there.

The Sungura music faculty has suffered a huge loss after renowned Sungura musician and  Pengauzdoke band co-founder Daiton Somanje died at Parienyatwa Group of Hospital after suffering from meningitis. The Tsaona hit-maker was aged 47.

Somanje's music career began in the 1990s. He and his band which he co-founded with his brother Josphat bacame popular in the early 2000 with their hit song "Tsaona" which made them the band of the moment all over the country. The pengauzdoke musical band made hit songs such as Seiko Kuonda, Zvibate pamhaka, and some of their albums include Ndokudai Mose-2002,Kwatakabva Kure Nenhamo-1990 and Mandivarira-1998 (www.pindula.co.zw).

In 2010 the band apparently split up when Daiton had a fall out with his brother Josphat. Reasons for the fall out ranged from issues of greed, allegations of witchcraft among other issues (www.pindula.com). Somanje and his brother then started  solo careers that eventually proved to unsuccessful. The band apparently then got back together but then struggled to get back to the top as they had lost their fan base in the event of them splitting up and unsuccessfully launching their solo careers.
